Trump offered Democrats to pay for Obamacare subsidies in exchange for money for border wall

Oh you're going to love this one. Here's more evidence that Donald Trump was lying about the Mexico paying for the Border Wall and about Obamacare being a "disaster."

According to Politico, Trump offered Democrats in Congress a deal: His administration would pay 1 dollar for Obamacare subsidies for each dollar the Democrats approved for the construction of Trump's border wall.

Guess what Democratic leader Chuck Schumer responded to the "master negotiator's" offer? He said no.

Not only that, Schumer added through spokesman Matt House that Democrats thought Mexico was supposed to pay for the wall. I quote:

"The White House gambit to hold hostage health care for millions of Americans, in order to force American taxpayers to foot the bill for a wall that the president said would be paid for by Mexico is a complete nonstarter."

In other words, the Democrats essentially called Trump's bullshit. If Trump cuts funding for Obamacare subsidies, his own voters would be hit the hardest. And if he does pay for the subsidies, his lie about Obamacare being a "disaster" would fall apart.

AND, on top of that, Trump is basically admitting he was lying when he said Mexico would pay for the border wall. Instead, he wants American taxpayers to pay for it.

Now, consider the following: the Obamacare subsidies cost $7 billion. The border wall has an estimated cost of over $20 billion. Where exactly does Trump expect to get the money to build the wall then?

On top of that, Trump claims he's going to reduce taxes. Where is he going to get the money to pay for subsidies and the wall if that happens?

Apparently what Trump wanted was to be able to say that he delivered his promise of the border wall before the end of his first 100 days in office. But it looks like that's not going to happen and, as usual, Trump will lose.
