Trump wants to make American taxpayers pay for his border wall

Yesterday the House of Representatives introduced a bill asking for $1.6 billion dollars to build Donald Trump's border wall. Today, Trump boasted the bill on Twitter:

But the bill would be paid with US taxpayer money. Meaning not only Mexico will not pay for the wall, but Trump will also break his campaign promise of making Mexico pay for it.

By the way: Trump seems to be doing this because Trumpcare may fail in the Senate. If it does, Trump will need some form of consolation prize. And those $1.6 billion for a useless wall appear to be it.
