DAY 81: Russia knew in advance about Syrian chemical attack, and Trump keeps quiet

Associated Press published published an article revealing that the United States concluded that Russia knew in advance of the chemical weapons attack by Bashar al-Assad's regime. From the article:

The official said a drone operated by Russians was flying over a hospital as victims of the attack were rushing to get treatment. Hours after the drone left, a Russian-made fighter jet bombed the hospital in what American officials believe was an attempt to cover up the usage of chemical weapons.

And what did Donald Trump say about this today either on Twiiter or in person? Absolutely NOTHING.

Now, while the US official said there was no proof that Russia participated in the attack, the presence of the drones suggest Russia must have known about the chemicl weapons attack, and about the fact that victims were seeking treatment.

Again; what did Trump say? NOTHING.

Typically Trump tweets about this sort of thing. In fact, he even tweeted trying to justify himself for not destroying the Syrian air base runways during the US missile strike on Syria. But this time, complete radio silence on Syria except for some self-gratification, as his only tweet on Syria was self congratulatory, "thanking" the US Navy... for following his orders of bombing the Syrian air base:

The rest of his tweets were on other topics: Neil Gursuch being imposed on the Supreme Court starting today, and some comments on Passover.

But about Russia? Nothing at all. Trump is simply using his missile show that did nothing to stop Assad, didn't destroy any chemical weapons, and didn't change anything in terms of changing the situation in Syria.

One has to really start wondering if this is Trump's way of trying to keep Vladimir Putin happy.
