Employment didn't meet expectations; Jobs that grew were mostly beacuse of Obamacare

This morning the Department of Labor released its numbers for jobs created in March of 2017. 98,000 jobs were created, a number well below the numbers economists expected.

And unemployement went down a measely 0.2%. But guess what? One of the reasons why unemployement went down and jobs were created was Obamacare.

You see, health care jobs increased by about 16,7000.
Education jobs went up by about 16,000.
And temp help went up by 10,500.

The reason why health care jobs are increasing is because of the Affordable Care Act. With more people having insurance, more health care employees are needed.

Hey, what about the jobs that Trump kept on promising? You know; blue collar jobs?

Well...

Wow. Retail trade -29.7%. That's 35,000 fewer josb with Trump, with general merchandizing stores down -34.7%, department stores -12.6% and other general merchandizing stores down -22.1%.

The reason for the fewer jobs in retail? According to The New York Times, because of online shopping:

“E-commerce and technology have absolutely changed the rules of the game and given massive amounts of power to the consumer,” said Simeon Siegel, a retail analyst at Nomura. “There is a self-help mentality now. People walk around with their phones in their hand to tell them the best model and the best price. You don’t need as many people walking around trying to convince you to buy a sweater.”

So how exactly is Trump going to prevent job losses in retail and create jobs to replace them if what's replacing those jobs is the internet and automation?

He can't. But he lied. That's what Trump does.
