The failing @nytimes finally gets it - "In places where no insurance company offers plans, there will be no way for ObamaCare customers to..

...use subsidies to buy health plans." In other words, Ocare is dead. Good things will happen, however, either with Republicans or Dems.

Let's skip the fact that just a few days ago Trump said the NYT keeps on getting it all wrong about him and let's focus on the misleading use of the NYT to try to attack Obamacare.
Yes, there are some counties in the US where there is only one health care provider. And yes, we don't know how many health care providers will exit the Obamacare marketplace in 2018. But what Trump isn't saying is this:
1. The places in the US where there is only one ACA insurer are very few. So it isn't a huge problem yet.
2. The only reason for insurers to leave the ACA would be if Trump refused to continue paying subsidies. Thus, if insurers were to leave, it would be because of Trump, not because of Obamacare.
3. In many places having only one insurer would not be a problem if Trump and the Republicans agreed to have a public option to force the insurers to compete. But they both reject that sensible solution.
So Trump is openly misleading the public for political gain, literally playing around with one of America's most basic needs: health care.
