And now Trump lies about... not knowing Steve Bannon!

The New York Times called on Donald Trump's bullshit when Trump tried to distance himself from Steve Bannon.

Apparently because of the bad publicity Bannon has been getting lately, Trump said to The New York Post he didn't know him before his presidential campaign.

But that was, as usual with Trump, a lie.

According to The New York Times, Trump had actually met Bannon in 2011. This is what Trump said:

“I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late. I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist, and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.”

But that's false. This is what The New York Times says:

Mr. Trump has known Mr. Bannon, his chief strategist, since 2011, when Mr. Trump was considering a presidential run.

David Bossie, a conservative activist who worked with Mr. Bannon on a series of films, made the introduction. “They definitely hit it off,” Mr. Bossie told Scott Shane of The New York Times in November.

And that's not all. Donald Trump's website has the following text dating from August of 2016 quoting Trump directly:

“I have known Steve and Kellyanne both for many years. They are extremely capable, highly qualified people who love to win and know how to win”

He was referring to Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway.

The New York Times also debunked several more lies by Trump, such as Trump's claims that NATO's counterterrorism efforts were because of him. Not true: NATO's counterterrorism measures date back dacades ago.

And many more. Mostly in regards to his wiretap bullshit accusation and against Hillary Clinton. All claims 100% debunked.
