Republicans had to bail out Donald Trump from a government shutdown

Today the Repubicans in Congress had to vote to approve a one-week spending measure in order to avoid a government shutdown by April 29.

That means the Republicans had to bail out Donald Trump from getting a government shutdown within his first 100 days in office.

Why? Because Trump and the Republicans insisted on an asinine spending budget that increased money for the military, didn't guarantee subsidies for Obamacare, and meddled with women's right to choose, among other things.

Trump thought the Democrats would beg him for a "deal" but that didn't happen. So the Republicans had to extend the government budget as it already was for a week to try to figure out a budget.

Which means the government may be shut down next week, but at least not within Trump's 100 days in office.

Which may be good for Trump, but not for America.
