DAY 40: Trump repeats his lies during his address to Congress

Even though it was already debunked, Donald Trump said in his address to Congress that the United States has its borders wide open.

He also repeated lies about companies creating jobs as a result of his election and about reducing the cost of a fighter jet that was already been negotiated before he was even elected.

DAY 39: Trump lies about money spent in the Middle East... and he wants more military spending

Donald Trump claimed the US has spent $6 trillion dollars in the Middle East when in reality the US has spent $1.6 trillion.

DAY 38: Trump contradicts himself about Russia calling it "fake news" and "illegal leaks"

Without presenting any evidence to back up his point, Donald Trump insisted today on claiming that the scandal his campaign is involved in over Russia is "fake news." But then he contradicted himself in the same Tweet by claiming the informaion on Russia was illegally leaked:

Trump wants credit for a national debt reduction... that happened because of Barack Obama

As usual, Donald Trump watched Fox News in the morning and simply repeated on Twitter whatever nonsense Fox News showed. This time, Trump repeated a misleading statement by former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, claiming the national debt went down by $12 billion during Donald Trump's first day in office. An hour later Trump tweeted:

The media has not reported that the National Debt in my first month went down by $12 billion vs a $200 billion increase in Obama first mo.

Turns out Herman Cain and Trump not only are misleading with their statements, but they are also showing how little they know about how the economy works. Here's the proof:

DAY 37: Donald Trump lies about The New York Times, and then gets debunked

Donald Trump has been calling The New York Times "failing" for months. This morning he insisted:

FAKE NEWS media knowingly doesn't tell the truth. A great danger to our country. The failing @nytimes has become a joke. Likewise @CNN. Sad!

Turns out it's the opposite. The New York Times is the one showing the one who is lying is Trump. And this morning, CNBC social lead Steve Kopack showed Trump was lying about the NYT "failing" and neither is CNN:

Sean Spicer technically admits Donald Trump is a dictator

CNCB social lead Steve Koapck noticed something today: Back in December Sean Spicer claimed that only dictators would prohibit access to the press. But today, Spicer did not allow reporters from The New York Times, CNN and Politico to attend his press briefing:

The New York Times debunks Trump's lies at CPAC

The New York Times fact checked Donald Trump's speech at CPAC and found a whole bunch of lies. For example:

Trump claimed the electoral polls were wrong.
FALSE: Trump lost the popular vote, just as the national polls predicted.

Trump claimed he got a lot of votes from Bernie Sanders supporters.
FALSE: Not only there's no evidence of massive amounts of votes from Bernie Sanders supporters for Trump, but the evidence from the actual electoral results suggests some Bernie Sanders supporters either voted for a third party or wrote Sanders's name in the ballot.

Donald Trump lied about lines of people for "6 blocks" wanting to see him at CPAC

Donald Trump claimed during his speech at CPAC that there were lines of people extending for 6 blocks wanting to see him:

Turns out Trump was, as usual, lying. First of all, because CPAC is a private event not open to the public:

DAY 36: Trump gets mad because FBI refused to dismiss Russia stories

Donald Trump attacked the FBI on Twitter after the press published a report pointing out to the fact that Trump's Chief of Staff, Rience Priebus, asked the FBI to dispute the reports on Trump's ties to Russia, but the FBI refused. This is what he twitted:

The FBI is totally unable to stop the national security "leakers" that have permeated our government for a long time. They can't even......

Which means Trump is being a hypocrite, since he didn't mind when the FBI meddled in the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton.

DAY 35: Trump lies about US trade not having surpluses

Donald Trump told to a group of big corporate CEOs that "I'm trying to find a country where we actually have a surplus", referring to trade. That, is, according to Trump, the US has no trade surpluses with anyone.

But tat's a lie. And immediately after he said it, CNBC debunked Trump's lie, as the US has surpluses with half the world. I quote from CNBC:

Sean Spicer lies repeatedly about Obamacare

As a result of Donald Trump lying on Twitter with his suggestion that the protests in town hall meetings regarding Obamacare are fabricated, a reporter asked Sean Spicer about it. Spicer went on to repeat, without a shred of evidence, that some of the protests were fabricated. But he didn't stop there. Then he went on to lie about Obamacare repeatedly. One of the lies he said, for example, is that health care access is going down, when in reality there is a record number of people with insurance in America:

DAY 34: Poll shows most Americans, even Trump supporters, support the media

Trump has tried time and again to delegitimize the media with constant attacks against them simply because the media tells the truth about them.

But a new poll by Pew Research shows that the majority of Americans, even Trump supporters, do want the media to report on offensive and false statements, such as those by Donald Trump:

Trump misleads about sanctuary cities with poll that actually shows opposition to border wall

Apparently Donald Trump doesn't even read the stuff he retweets. Today he posted this:

Which is a big lie. Trump never even tweeted, much less condemned publicly as official policy, the massacre at a Canadian mosque perpetrated by a right-wing White man who also supported Trump.

DAY 33: Trump lied about his campaign not being in contact with Russia; Russian officials confirm it

Even though American intelligence sources revealed Donald Trump's campaign was in contact with Russia, Donald Trump denied it. But now officials from the Russian government have confirmed Trump's campaign was in fact in contact with them.

According to The New York Times, Russian officials have at least twice "acknowledged contacts with aides to Mr. Trump before the election."

DAY 32: Trump insists o lying about Sweeden, and Sweeden debunks him and Fox News

Donald Trump insists on lying about his ficticious claim that immigration in Sweeden is resulting in an increase in crime. He did it, as usual, using Twitter:

Well, not only Sweeden debunked Trump's claims, but they also debunked the Fox News report Trump's claim is based on.

Trump lies again about Sweeden; Crime in Sweeden has gone down with immigrants

A day after Donald Trump made an ass of himself for falsely claiming some terrorist-related incident took place in Sweeden last Friday as a result of the country accepting immigrants from Muslim countries, he tweeted this:

Multiple times Donald Trump criticized Barack Obama on Twitter for playing golf and for doing rallies. But now Trump has spent two weekends golfing since he took office and he just did one rally.

DAY 31: The Washington Post fact-checked Trump's Florida Rally speech and... the speech is full of bullshit

The Washington Post fact-checked Donald Trump's speech at his rally in Florida on Saturday, February 18, 2017, and found Trump lied and bent the facts multiple times, from his claims that jobs are beinc created because of him (false: the last job increases took place with Barack Obama), to a quote he used from Thomas Jefferson bad-mouthing the media as liars because the media were getting reports that Jefferson was having sex with one of his slaves... which was actually true and Jefferson was trying to cover it up.

But Trump tried to use the quote to attack the media as "fake news."

FAKE NEWS: Trump claims there was an incident in Sweeden, but there wasn't

As a way to justify his Muslim ban, Donald Trump said at the rally he had in Florida there was an incident in Sweeden last night.

Well, he lied. There was no incident in Sweeden.

DAY 30: Trump lies about "inheriting a mess"

Since his February 16 press conference, Donald Trump has been insisting that he inherited "a mess" from the Obama administration. Today he repeated it on Twitter and at a rally in Florida.

But that's another one of Trump's lies. Trump inherited a very the exact opposite of "a mess."

DAY 29: Trump approval rate sink

Fox News published this poll from Pew Reseach, giving Donald Trump a 39% approval and a 56% disapproval rates:

The poll is similar to a Gallup poll conducted on February 16 with Trump's approval a 38% and 56% disapproval.

FACT CHECK: Trump gets caught lying about his electoral college victory... Twice... In public

Before announcing his new nominee for Secretary of Labor in a press conference, Donald Trump bragged about his electoral college count being the largest of any electoral college wins since Ronald Reagan. But a reporter told him that was not true. Trump 304 electoral college count is the largest since... Barack Obama's 2012 win with 332 electoral college votes.

Then Trump tried to fix his lie by saying he meant his was the biggest electoral college win by a Republican since Reagan. But the reporter told him that's not true either. The biggest electoral win since Reagan goes to George H.W. Bush with 426 electoral college votes in 1988.

DAY 28: Trump continues tantrum against security leaks, but he said "I love WikiLeaks" in his campaign

Donald Trump continued to throw a tantrum against the fact that his campaign's had ties with Russia was leaked by intelligence sources:

Leaking, and even illegal classified leaking, has been a big problem in Washington for years. Failing @nytimes (and others) must apologize!

There's only one problem: Trump used to praise the leaker or leakers: WikiLeaks. He did so several times during the presidential campaign when Democratic emails were leaked. He even said "I love leaks!" during a rally in Pennsylvania. And there's even video of Trump saying "I love WikiLeaks" during the campaign:

Trump LOSES: Withdraws Andrew Puzder's nomination for labor secretary after increased opposition

Trump was forced to withdraw Andrew Puzder's nomination for Secretary of Labor after the Trump administration concluded he may not get enough votes from the Senate to confirm him.

According to The New York Times, Puzder, owner of Carl's Jr., is being accused by Democrats and liberal groups of "mistreating his workers, opposing the minimum wage and supporting automation in the workplace."

On top of that, there are allegations of Puzder abusing his ex-wife in the 1980s.

DAY 27: Clearly desperate, Trump misleads about Obama and Russia and contradicts himself

After The New York Times published last night that US intelligence caught Trump's presidential campaign talking to Russian intelligence, Trump went on to Twitter to throw a tantrum. He said:

According to The New York Times, Donald Trump's campaign aides did contact Russian intelligence the year before the election, just when Trump was speaking highly of Vladimir Putin, and there are recorded phone conversations to prove it. The NYT article says:

Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.

American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said. The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.

Trump balmes Obamacare for Humana leaving in 2018, but it was Trump the one who defunded it

After Humana announced it will leave the Obamacare marketplace in 2018, Donald Trump tweeted:

Trump lies: Signs repeal of SEC rule that will help Big Oil to stay in other countries

Donald Trump signed today H.J. Resolution 41, which is a repeal of the Dodd-Frank SEC rule that required oil and gas companies to disclose taxes and fees they pay to foreign governments.

The repeal of the law means companies like Exxon won't have to show how much money they give to foreign governments like Russia and it will make it easier for Big Oil companies to stay in other countries.

Trump lied: Spicer confirms he knew about Flynn for weeks, but last week he said he didn't know

On Saturday, February 11, Donald Trump was asked by the press about the accusations against Michael Flynn regarding his phone call with the Russian embassador. According to USA Today, Trump suggested he didn't know by saying he would "look into" it. And according to a CNN video, he flat out said "I don't know about that. I haven't seen it. What report is that?" :

DAY 26: CYNICISM: Trump asks if his dealings with North Korea will be leaked after he did them in public

Apparently as a way to deflect criticism over the fact that he knew about Michael Flynn's conversation with Russia, Donald Trump tweeted this:

The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?

So the issue for Trump is not the fact that he knew about Flynn's Russia phone call a month before Flynn resigned (former acting Attorney General Sally Yates told Trump about it before he fired her using her opposition to his Muslim ban as an excuse to fire her), but the fact that somebody leaked the information and that's why Flynn had to resign.

But the big cynicism is the part about North Korea.

Michael Flynn resigns as Donald Trump's National Security Adviser after Russia dealings scandal

Retired General Michael T. Flynn, who was picked by Donald Trump as National Security Adviser, resigned in the middle of a scandal because of the accusations against him talking illegally to Russia about US sanctions. He served as Security Adviser for less than a month since Trump took office.

According to The New York Times, Flynn mislead Vice President Mike Pence and other White House officials about his conversaions with the embassador of Russia, Sergey I. Kislyak, on the subject of sanctions to Russia back in December of 2016, before Trump took office.

Trump let outsiders view him being briefed regarding North Korea

According to The New York Times, Donald Trump let people outside the government dining at his Mar-a-Lago resort view while he was being briefed about North Korea launching a missile in the direction of Japan.

He also let Japanese Prime Minister see as he was being briefed.

Not only that, one of the outsiders dining at the resort took photos of the Trump being briefed and posted it to Facebook.

European Union is already crafting a lawsuit against Donald Trump's border tax

According to an article by the Financial Times, the European Union is already crafting a lawsuit against Donald Trump's border tax if he decides to implement it as a way to pay for his border wall and to "protect" American businesses.

The Financial Times points out that if such a lawsuit were to take place, Trump would lose it. And if it Trump were to ignore the lawsuit ruling at the World Trade Organization, the result would be a trade war.

DAY 25: Trump's Commerce Secretary Wilbus Ross has manufacturing interests in Mexico

Today Mexican newspaper El Universal published an article pointing out to the fact that Donald Trump's Commerce Secretaru, Wilbur Ross, has interests in the autopart manufacturing business in Mexico.

Data from the US Labor Department shows that Ross is the founder and stockholder of Automotive Component Group (IAC Group), which bought in 2006 Lear Corporation, one of the main autopart manufacturers operating in the border state of Chihuahua, Mexico.

Donald Trump mentions supporters but not protesters against him in Florida

Donald Trump complained about the media not mentioning his supporterts as he left Florida to go back to Washington D.C.:

Donald Trump and Steve Miller lied about people voting illegally against him in New Hampshire

This story started with a report on Politico on Friday, February 10, regarding a meeting between Donald Trump and some legislators in which Trump said people were taken in buses from Massachusetts to New Hampshire in order to vote illegally, thus costing him the popular vote in the state.

The claim is a lie simply because New Hampshire law requires photo ID in order to vote. People without a photo ID get a photo taken at the polling station and are requiring to sign affidavits stating they are who they say they are. And the state government follows up and investigates when that happens. So there was NO WAY there could have been buses of people to vote illegally in New Hampshire.

DAY 24: Trump lies about Mark Cuban "backing" him

Today Donald Trump tweeted this:

I know Mark Cuban well. He backed me big-time but I wasn't interested in taking all of his calls.He's not smart enough to run for president!

Trump lies about refugees from Muslim countries and attacks them with FAKE NEWS

Since Donald Trump LOST after an Appeals Court blocked his Muslim ban, now he's continuing his tantrum by attacking refugees from Muslim countries by suggesting they are "dangerous", even though there is no evidence supporting that claim:

DAY 22: DUMB: Trump attacks block of Muslim ban with post from author who SUPPORTS ruling

This is just plain dumb.

According to Politico, Apparently this morning Donald Trump saw MSNBC's Morning Joe, where a post from a blog called Lawfare criticizing the Appeals Court's ruling was mentioned. Then Trump tweeted this:

According to Reuters, an internal document from the Department of Homeland Security estimates that Donald Trump's border wall would have a price tag of $21.6 billion dollars and it would more than 3 years to build.

On top that, the wall would not even be a full wall but, but a series of fences and walls.

The problem is, federal law prohibits public servants from promoting ANY products.

The law says the following according to the Office of Government Ethics:

Although Sean Spicer, Trump's Press Secretary, said to different media outlets over a period of two days there was a terror attack in Atlanta, when he was finally told by the press there was no terror attack in Atlanta he tried to weasel himself out of it by saying he "clearly meant Orlando."

DAY 21: Donald Trump lies: Falsely accuses Rich Blumenthal of misrepresenting Neil Gorsuch

So now Donald Trump is lying about the Senator Rich Blumenthal, who said Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch found Trump's attacks on the judges who are reviewing his Muslim ban "dishartening" and "demoralizing."

Donald Trump tweeted this today:

Sen.Richard Blumenthal, who never fought in Vietnam when he said for years he had (major lie),now misrepresents what Judge Gorsuch told him?

The claim is based on an article published by The Hill in which they claimed an Emerson College poll shows people see Trump as more trustful than the news media.

Even though he said just a few days ago that polls were wrong, today Donald Trump tweeted one questionable Morning Consult poll to claim his Muslim ban is approved by most voters.

But a poll conducted by Quinnipiac at the same time as the Morning Consult poll shows the exact opposite: Most voters oppose the Muslim ban.

DAY 20: Appeals court may reject Trump's Muslim ban; Trump throws tantrum

This morning Donald Trump threw yet another tantrum on Twitter against the Judiciart branch of government. This time over the fact that the Appeals court handling the decision over whether or not to accept his Muslim ban is legal o not seems to be getting ready to reject the ban.

As a result, Trump tweeted:

If the U.S. does not win this case as it so obviously should, we can never have the security and safety to which we are entitled. Politics!

Which is false. The Judiciary does not deal in politics. It deals in the rule of law.

TRUMP FAILS: Yemen will no longer allow US military after failed raid killed tens of civilians

Yemen announced today it will no longer allow American military operations in that country.

The ban comes as a result of the the failed raid Donald Trump ordered against Al-Qaeda a few days ago. In that raid one Navy Seal died, but tens of innocent civilians in Yemen were killed in the crossfire.

DAY 19: After defending Putin, Trump says he doesn't know Putin (here we debunk him)

On his interview with Bill O'Reilly for Fox News, Donald Trump defended Vladimir Putin when O'Reilly said Putin was a killer. Not only that, but Trump also said the United States has a lot of killers.

So tofay, after the media pointed out Trump was defending Putin, Trump says this:

I don't know Putin, have no deals in Russia, and the haters are going crazy - yet Obama can make a deal with Iran, #1 in terror, no problem!

Which is a double lie. Here's why:

Washington Post basically calls bullshit on Trump's list of "undercovered" terror stories

Sheesh... here we go again...

Today Donald Trump claimed the the media is dishonest and "undercovers" terrorism stories. In other words, Trump claims the media doesn't cover news stories about terror attacks.

Since Trump's claim was a lie, Press Secretary Sean Spicer gave it a spin by saying that it wasn't that the media wasn't covering the terrorism stories, but that they weren't covering them enough. A few hours later, the White House released a list of terrorism news stories supposedly not being covered by the media. The list was so sloppy it even misspelled "San Bernardino" and "attack".

But then The Washington Post took a look at the so-called "undercovered" list and it found three things about it:

Kellyanne Conway lied: She used the "Bowling Green Massacre" story more than once

When Donald Trump's adviser Kellyanne Conway was mocked mercilessly on Twitter and on the media for mentioning a non-existing "Bowling Green Massacre" to MSNBC as a justification for Donald Trump's Muslim ban, she said she made a mistake, and what she really meant was "Bowling Green terrorists."

Well, turns out that was a lie too. According to Buzzfeed, Conway mentioned verbatim the "Bowling Green massacre" to Cosmopolitan magazine and to TMZ THE SAME DAY before mentioning it to MSNBC.

DAY 18: Trump says any negative polls and articles against him are fake news, but numbers don't lie

The first thing Donald Trump tweeted today was this:

Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting.

That's false. A CNN poll showed last week 53% opposed Trump's Muslim ban with 47% agreeing with it. Those numbers reflect pretty closely the popular vote.

Did Trump just order Homeland Security to harass people entering the US?

After about half a day of silence since an Appeals Court rejected Donald Trump's Muslim ban, Donald Trump tweeted again about it. This time not just criticizing the court, but also suggesting he ordered the Department of Homeland Security to harass people entering the United States regardless of who they are:

The first tweet is his continuing tantrum over the Judiciary overturning his racist Muslim ban. But the second tweet is very broad and very problematic because of the following:

DAY 17: TRUMP LOSES: Appeals court also rejects his Muslim ban

A federal appeals court rejected Donald Trump's request to overturn a lower court's block if his Muslim ban.

After Trump threw a tantrum on Twitter for half a day over the block by a Seattle federal Judge, his administration filed challenge to the Seattle Judge's decision, but the appeals court declined to accept Trump's challenge, thus upholing the lower court's ruling against the Muslim ban.

Newsweek published a pretty damning collection of Donald Trump's lies... even under oath

Newsweek magazine published a pretty damning collection of lies Donald Trump has said over the years, including lies he said under oath and to Congress.

Among other things, Trump said he owned 50% of a deal when in reality he owned 30%, because he "felt" like it was 50%. And that he had lost business deals because of information published about his actual net worth even though he could not mention a single entity who backed down from a deal, but he just "knew."

The New York Times reveals Trump still has conflicts of interests with his fake "blind trust"

Every time Donald Trump complains about The New York Times it means the NYT published something that exposes Trump. That is why this morning I read the NYT after Trump tweeted this:

After being forced to apologize for its bad and inaccurate coverage of me after winning the election, the FAKE NEWS @nytimes is still lost!

Turns out the NYT published an article showing how Donald Trump's so-called "blid-trust", which supposedly took control of his company and assets away from him so he would't have conflicts of interests as a president, doesn't really do prevent conflicts of interests, since Trump, in reality, still has a lot of control over the "blind trust."

DAY 16: Trump throws a tantrum after Judge stops his Muslim ban

After a federal Judge in Seattle blocked Donald Trump's Muslim ban, Trump threw a tantrum on Twitter:

The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!

The fact that Trump is calling the federal Judge "so-called" shows Trump's lack of respect for the checks and balances in the federal government. But the bigger issue is this: what happens now?

Oh-oh... Putin is making fun of Trump a day after Trump criticized Russia

A day after Donald Trump's UN Embassador criticized Russia over its intervention in Ukraine, RT news agency, which is controlled by Putin's government, published an article basically making fun of Donald Trump's military.

The piece claims the Pentagon took down from its website a video that was supposed to be from the Yemen raid Trump ordered. But when the Pentagon realized the video was form 10 years ago they took it down.

Trump now wants to dismantle the financial regulations passed after the 2008 crisis

Get ready for another financial crisis because it could happen now that Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans want to overturn the financial regulations put into place by the Obama administration after the 2008 economic crisis.

According to The New York Times, Trump and the Republicans want to take away the restrictions on Wall Street that were put in place to prevent another economic meltdown such as the one that threw the economy into chaos in 2008.

Federal Judge blocks Trump's Muslim ban nationwide

Shortly after a Federal Judge in Boston declined to extend a temporary halt to Donald Trump Muslim ban, another federal Judge in Seattle blocked the Muslim ban nationwide.

The Trump admnistration called the rulling "outrageous" and said it would fight it.

TRUMP FAIL: Nordstrom drops Ivanka Trump's clothing line after boycott

Apparently being associated with the Trumps is becoming bad for business. Or at least that's what it looks like after Nordsdtrom stores announced they would no longer sell Ivanka Trump's clothing line.

According to the New York Times, Nordstrom said they would no longer be selling Ivanka Trump's clothing line because of the low sales of the brand.

FAKE NEWS: Kellyanne Conway uses fake "Bowling Green massacre" to justify Muslim ban

The term Bowling Green Massacre became a trending topic on Twitter after Donald Trump's adviser Kellyanne Conway complained about the media not covering something she called the "Bowling Green massacre" in Kentucky, that was supposed to be masterminded, Conway said as a way to justify Donald Trump's Muslim ban, by two Iraqis. But that "massacre" never took place.

HYPOCRISY: Trump tweets about Muslim detained in Paris, but not about attack on Canadian mosque

So this morning Donald Trump tweeted this:

A new radical Islamic terrorist has just attacked in Louvre Museum in Paris. Tourists were locked down. France on edge again. GET SMART U.S.

The tweet refers to the fact that a Frenc soldier shot a Muslim man who entered a store at the Louvre museum in Paris and attacked another soldier with a machete. The man had two backpacks with him but the backpacks did not have explosives.

The problem with this is the fact that five days before, on January 29, 2017, a far-right, White Christian extremist who is also a Trump supporter, shot and killed 6 people at a Mosque in Quebec, the French-speaking region of Canada. But Trump didn't tweet anything about it.

DAY 15: Unemployment goes up with Trump in office

According to figures from the Labor Department, the unemployment rate in January, 2017, went up from 4.7% the previous month to 4.8%. In other words, unemployment went up with Donald Trump in office.

Now, to be fair, Trump was in office only 10 and a half days in January, 2017. Which means Trump and Barack Obama share the responsibility for the unemployment increase. As to how much each share the blame is dabatable, but let's say Obama owns two thirds of the blame (since he was President for only two thirds of the month) and one third of the blame belongs to Trump.

HOWEVER...

Uber's CEO quits Trump's business advisory group after boycott against Uber

Uber's CEO Travis Kalanick quit being in Donald Trump's business advisory group after a massive protest by Uber users and Uber drivers because of Trump's Muslim ban.

As a way to boycott Uber because of Kalanick being in Trump's advisory group, Uber users deleted the Uber app and switched to Uber's competitor Lyft.

Trump changes course on Israel settlements and Russia; To soften Congress?

This is certainly strange. The Trump administration is changing positions on Israeli settlements and Russia's Ukraine intervention.

First, according to The New York Times, the Trump administration said the following in a statement about expanding Israeli settlements into Palestinian territories:

“While we don’t believe the existence of settlements is an impediment to peace, the construction of new settlements or the expansion of existing settlements beyond their current borders may not be helpful in achieving that goal.”

Which is strange since Trump supported the expansion of settlements throughout his campaign.

Trump failed: His strike in Yemen was a disasester and it killed an 8-year old child

Five days into his presidency, Donald Trump ordered a military strike on an Al-Qaeda base in Yemen. Barack Obama refused to do it because the conditions for the strike were too poor, so the Pentagon asked Trump when they thought the conditions had improved. But according to The New York Times the raid was so poorly planned and executed it ended up being a disaster in which an 8-year old child was killed by US troops. I quote from the NYT article:

As it turned out, almost everything that could go wrong did. And on Wednesday, Mr. Trump flew to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to be present as the body of the American commando killed in the raid was returned home, the first military death on the new commander in chief’s watch.

DAY 14: HYPOCRISY: Trump complains about UC Berkeley protests but his people want to shut free press

Donald Trump tweeted this today:

If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view - NO FEDERAL FUNDS?

The tweet refers to the protests agains Milo Yiannopoulous, a racist, far-right troll (and Breitbart contributor) who got kicked from Twitter for targetting Black actress Leslie Jones with hate speech. He was invited to give a speech at UC Berkeley and the students started peaceful protests against him. However, later during the protests some unidentified poepled acted violently and the university responded by treating the protests as a riot (you know: using tear gas, rubber bullets, that sort of thing). But Yiannopoulous speech was cancelled.

But Trump can't complain about it, since him and his closests advisers have tried to shut up the free press. Here are three examples:

Trump loses AGAIN: His Muslim ban got defeated by Australia

Guess what? Donald Trump's Muslim ban got defeated by Australia!

The Washington Post published an article about Donald Trump hanging up on Australia's Prime Minister during a phone call on Saturday, January 28, 2017. And while most people may be tempted to see the fact that Trump behaved like a jerk in that phone call as the main story, the real story is the reason why Trump hung up.

You see; During the Obama administration, the United States agreed with Australia to take 1,250 refugees who were in an Australian detention center under terrible conditions. But Trump found out about it the day after he ordered his racist Muslim ban.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Trump lied about negotiating Medicare drug prices

In case you missed it yesterday, Donald Trump backpedaled on his campaign promise of negotiating for better drug prices for Medicare.

After a meeting with big pharma executives, Trump said:

"I'll oppose anything that makes it harder for smaller, younger companies to take the risk of bringing their product to a vibrantly competitive market. That includes price-fixing by the biggest dog in the market, Medicare, which is what's happening. But we can increase competition and bidding wars, big time."

DAY 13: Trump admits it IS a Muslim ban, which is unconstitutional

This morning Donald Trump posted a tweet essentially admitting his Muslim ban IS a Muslim ban:

Everybody is arguing whether or not it is a BAN. Call it what you want, it is about keeping bad people (with bad intentions) out of country!
