In reality, it was Trump's fault Humana decided to leave the marketplace.
You see, Humana claimed it will leave the Affordable Care Act marketplace in the 11 states in which it offers plans because the risk pool is too big.
In reality when a risk pool is big it means insurers need more subsidies to pay for the sickest patients. But Trump and the Republicans cancelled some of the sources of income for the ACA, meaning there will not be enough income to pay for the subsidies needed for the risk pool.
On top of that, Trump and the Republicans don't have a replacement plan for the ACA. And Trump claims it will take more than a year to have something to replace the ACA.
THAT is the reason why Humana is leaving. Not because Obamacare doesn't work, but because Trump and the Republicans sabotaged it.
