I am reading that the great border WALL will cost more than the government originally thought, but I have not gotten involved in the.....

...design or negotiations yet. When I do, just like with the F-35 FighterJet or the Air Force One Program, price will come WAY DOWN!

That's a lie. Here's why:
1. First of all, he ordered the federal government to do a study and he even boasted about the study. If he wanted a lower price, why didn't he get involved in the design from from day one?
2. The F-35's price went down because its construction costs went down, not because Trump got involved. In fact, the federal government started an initiative to reduce its costs since 2014. And in fact, the F-35's price had already dropped in 2013. Trump had nothing to do with it.
In the case of the wall it's a completely different animal because, first, it's simple construction, not a military vehicle. Which means the cost of the materials and maintaining the wall would be the biggest concern. That is why the wall's estimates are so high; because of the materials and the cost of maintaining it. And there's NOTHING Trump can do to bring those costs down.
Oh, and by the way: the fact that Trump is comparing the wall to the F-35 only means one thing: he expects the American taxpayer to pay for the wall. Because, guess who pays for ALL of the military vehicles? That's right: you do, the American taxpayer.
