The claim is a lie simply because New Hampshire law requires photo ID in order to vote. People without a photo ID get a photo taken at the polling station and are requiring to sign affidavits stating they are who they say they are. And the state government follows up and investigates when that happens. So there was NO WAY there could have been buses of people to vote illegally in New Hampshire.
Well, on Sunday, February 12, Trump's Policy Director, Steve Miller, was sent to Sunday morning shows, where he defended that lie apparently reading either a teleprompter or cue cards, as the movement of his eyes suggests in a video during an interview with George Sptephanopoulos. Stephanopoulos, however, didn't let him get away with his lies and pointed out twice that Miller did not provide any evidence to back his claim even though Miller said the White House had provided (which is false):
Kellyanne's credibility is shot, so Stephen Miller made the rounds reading lies off a teleprompter (watch his eyes). pic.twitter.com/0sA7UvVZlA— shauna (@goldengateblond) February 12, 2017
The Washington Post, of course, gave Miller four Pinocchios for his statements in the Stephanopoulos interview. In other words, Miller lied, and lied repeatedly about the alleged "voter fraud."
Trump, however, defended Miller on Twitter:
Congratulations Stephen Miller- on representing me this morning on the various Sunday morning shows. Great job!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 12, 2017
So Trump applauded Miller for lying on live TV. Wow.
By the way: This time around Kellyanne Conway didn't appear on TV. I don't think it was because she lost credibility, but beacause most likely she would've been asked what her punishment was for violating federal law by promoting Ivanka Trump's products on Fox News. And since she ddn't get any punishment, that would've been a very ackward moment.
