But today, Trump withdrew the rules from the Obama administration that protected transgender bathroom rights in public schools.
The excuse used by ultra-conservative Attorney General Jeff Sessions to withdraw the rules was some bullshit about the rules being confusing. In reality, it was simply an act of bigotry.
In the end, withdrawing the rules may end up being a moot point, as a lawsuit against transgender discrimination in public bathrooms will be heard by the Supreme Court in March. If the court sides with transgender rights, they will be protected whether Jeff Session likes it or not.
To make matters even more hypocritical, Trump is not claiming he is delivering on campaign promises.
