DAY 312: Trump retweets racist, anti-muslim videos from far-right Brittish politician

Donald Trump retweeted this morning a series of videos posted by a far-right Britiish politician named Jayda Fransen. According to The New York Times, Fransen "has previously been charged in the United Kingdom with “religious aggravated harassment.”"

David Lammy, a member of the Brittish Parliament for the Labour Party tweeted about Trump's actions:

“The President of the United States is promoting a fascist, racist, extremist hate group whose leaders have been arrested and convicted. He is no ally or friend of ours.”

DAY 310: Trump uses a racial slur in front of Native Americans

Donald Trump has been using the name "Pocahontas" as a derogatory term against Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, thus turning the name into a racial slur. Well, today Trump used the racial slur in front of Native Americans who translated code in World War II:

DAY 305: China would've released jailed basktball players even without Trump

Donald Trump has been bitching and moaning about not getting a "thank you" from one of the parents of the American basketball players who were jailed in China for shoplifting. But according to The New York Times, China would've released the basketball players even if Trump would've done anything. Why? Because foreigners who commit small crimes in China are deported rather than jailed:

experts say the players for the U.C.L.A. team, who were accused of stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store in Hangzhou, China, probably would have been released even if Mr. Trump had not raised the case with President Xi Jinping during a visit this month to Beijing.

Shoplifting is considered a relatively minor crime in China, and foreigners convicted of minor crimes are often deported rather than given prison sentences.

DAY 302: Trump throws a tantrum over his failed attempt at getting undeserved praise

So the story goes like this: Three African American basketball players were caught stealing sunglasses in China and they were thrown in jail. Donald Trump, thinking he was going to become a hero, apparently asked Chinese president Xi Jinping to release them. And the basktball players were released.

But Trump's publicity stunt backfired, as nobody thought he was a hero. As a result, he threw a tantrum on Twitter:

Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!

DAY 283: John Kelly justifies Robert E. Lee and thus slavery

Donald Trump's Chief of Staff, John Kelly, justified confederate general -and traitor- Robert E. Lee and, as a result, Kelly also justified slavery.

According to The New York Times, Kelly called Robert E. Lee “an honorable man who gave up his country to fight for his state.” He also claimed that “the lack of an ability to compromise led to the Civil War.”

Which is a monstrous lie.

DAY 260: Trump conditions not deporting dreamers to building wall and turning away refugees

This is as despicable as it gets; the Trump White House is telling Congress that any deal to approve legislation to allow the Dreamers to stay in the US will be conditioned to Congress approving the construction of the border wall and to turning away children from Central America seeking refugee status because they are running away from gang violence.

According to The New York Times, that will the be only way Trump will agree to not deport the Dreamers.

Trump issues yet another racist Muslim ban, but adding North Korea for camouflage

Donald Trump issued today a third Muslim ban, only this time he tried to disguise it by adding North Korea to the list.

According to The New York Times, the the Muslim Ban 3.0 adds most of the countries in the original Muslim ban, but withe addition of North Korea and sanctions for Venezuela and Irak, making it very difficult to allow their citizens to travel to the US and impossible to become permanent residents.

DAY 246: Trump's goes after NFL protests... with hypocrisy

So this morning Donald Trump went after NFL players who protest against police brutality and inequality by kneeling diring the national anthem at games:

Aside from being a racist stand (Trump didn't call for the firing of White supremacists, but for the firing of mostly Black NFL players), Trump is being a hypocrite. You see, four years ago he said this:

Trump's recent stupid comments and Trumpcare are meant to increase his poll numbers, not as actual policy

Donald Trump has been on a streak of stupid, prejudiced comments on foreign issues and he has been on an effort to pass another version of Trump care that's even worse than the one that already failed in the Senate.

As it turns out, the whole thing is a mere ploy to try to boost his approval numbers among the most racists in his followers. Which is most of his followers.

How do we know that? Because Trump is actually paying for ads on Facebook aimed at the worst of the worst of his followers, trying to sell them the idea that he will build a border wall, when in fact he won't, as he does not have the numbers in Congress to approve the money to built it.

Trump made it more difficult for highly skilled foreigners to get work visa, and tourism sunk

Two news stories that should show just how damaging Donald Trump is for the US economy. First, he made it more difficult for highly skilled foreigners to get work visas. According to Reuters:

The Trump administration is making it more difficult for skilled foreigners to work in the United States, challenging visa applications more often than at nearly any point in the Obama era, according to data reviewed by Reuters.

The more intense scrutiny of the applications for H-1B visas comes after President Donald Trump called for changes to the visa program so that it benefits the highest-paid workers, though he has not enacted any such reforms.

Data provided by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services shows that between Jan. 1 and Aug. 31, the agency issued 85,000 challenges, or “requests for evidence” (RFEs), to H-1B visa petitions - a 45 percent increase over the same period last year. The total number of H-1B petitions rose by less than 3 percent in the same period.

Which means tech companies can't get the highly skilled labor they need to grow the American economy.

DAY 241: Steve Miller suppressed report showing refugees contribute more in taxes than they cost the US

According to The New York Times, Donald Trump's advisor Steve Miller suppressed a report by the Department of Health and Human Services showing that refugees actually contribute more to the US in taxes than what they cost to taxpayers.

The net difference between the cost of refugees to the US and what they contribute to the US in taxes is 63 billion dollars more in taxes than what the refugees receive from public funds.

But Steve Miller, according to the NYT, suppressed the fiscal benefit from the report and only allowed one figure to be shown: the cost of about $1,000 more than the average American in taxpayer dollars.

Trump throws tantrum and lies over ESPN anchor Jamele Hill

Many, many times Donald Trump has lied about different people. And he nas never apologized for it. In fact, to this day Trump has never apologized for claiming falsely that Barack Obama was not born in the United States.

But now Trump is throwing a tantrum over the fact that ESPN anchor Jamele tweeted this:

Which is not a lie. It is exactly what Trump proved to be after saying there was good people among white supremacists in Charlottesville.

Once again Donald Trump blamed the violence in Charlottesville on both, White supremacists and the people protesting them.

According to The New York Times, Trump said:

“Especially in light of the advent of Antifa, if you look at what’s going on there, you know, you have some pretty bad dudes on the other side also,”

DAY 227: Trump ends DACA and uses Dreamers as hostages for his racist immigration plan

Donald Trump announced officially the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, known as DACA, which Barack Obama established through executive order to protect the children of undocumented immigrants, also known as "Dreamers," when Republicans in Congress blocked immigration reform.

Not only that, but Trump also is using the Dreamers as hostages to force Congress to pass his racist immigrantion plan that cuts legal immigrant admisions by half and only admits people who already speak English and make enough money not to need to live in the United States.

DAY 217: Trump tried to get Sessions to dismiss Arpaio case months ago

The Washington Post revealed today that Donald Trump had actually asked Jeff Sessions to drop the case against former Sheriff Joe Arpaio because he was an ally during Trump's presidential campaign.

However, Sessions declined to do so because Sessions thought it would be inappropriate.

Here's more evidence of Donald Trump being alarmed about his poll numbers sinking. In a single day, and within hours, Trump signed an executive order banning transgender people from serving in the military, as well as shutting down funding for gender re-assignment treatment.

A few hour laters, Trump issued a presidential pardon for former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known for his racist practices against immigrants.

Descendant of Robert E. Lee says Trump should not defend confederate statues

Karen Finney, a descendant of Robert E. Lee, who is half African-American, said Donald Trump has no idea what he's talking about when he defends confederate statues. As a result, she's asking Trump to stop defending them.

According to The Hill, Finney pointed out that the statues have not been where they are for 150 years, as Trump claims, but they were built in the early 20th century during the Jim Crow era as a way to intimidate Black people.
