Associated Press called the election at 10:23 Easter time. Jone's lead is a narrow 1% (49.7% Jones 48.7% Moore) or a difference of about 12,000 votes, but enough to defeat accused pedophile Roy Moore, who was endorsed by Donald Trump.

The election is a double defeat for Trump. Not only his candidate lost a race that has not been lost by a Republican in years, but it also means Trump now has one vote less in the US Senate, with 51 Republicans and 48 Democrats.
Which means that if only two Republicans do not vote with Trump, Trump will not be able to get any legislation passed in Congress during 2018. (Two because if one votes against the Republicans Mike Pence can break the tie).
And with the Democrats expected to win control of Congress in the midterm election, this could mean Trump will not get any legislation passed at all for the rest of his term in office.
Trump endorsed Roy Moore even though multiple women accused him of sexually assaulting them when they were underage.
