ObamaCare will explode and we will all get together and piece together a great healthcare plan for THE PEOPLE. Do not worry!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 25, 2017
Well, here's the thing: The only way Obamacare would "explode" is if the Trump admnistration cuts the subsidies for health insurance plans. If that happens, people would be affected starting in 2018. And guess what? That's what the midterms are. And increasing insurance premiums would mean a defeat for Republicans in the midterms, after 11 months of increased premiums.
So if Obamacare "explodes", as Trump brags it will, it would be Trump's fault and that would lead to an electoral defeat for the Republicans.
Regardless, people on Twitter responded to Trump's bullshit with his own tweets:
Despite what you hear in the press, healthcare is coming along great. We are talking to many groups and it will end in a beautiful picture!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 9, 2017
We will immediately repeal and replace ObamaCare - and nobody can do that like me. We will save $'s and have much better healthcare!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2016
So about that "great healthcare" thing today...
Oh and by the way: According to NBC News, Trump actually lost 10 Republican votes for Trumpcare after he visited Republican legislators personally to try to convince them to vote for the bill.
The master negotiator couldn't convince the Republicans to vote for his own Obamacare replacement, now expects the public to believe that he will get Democrats and Republicans together to pass "great healthcare."
