When the topic came up, Trump said that he put quote marks on the wiretap accusation, but nobody is focusing on that.
Trump to @TuckerCarlson on that tweet: "When I say wiretapping those words were in quotes…Nobody ever talks about the fact it was in quotes"

Oh really? Then why did insist on the accusation in more than one tweet and why did he ask Congress to investigate?
By the way: Congress also said Trump's accusation was bullshit.
That's right; several hours before Trump admited to Fox News he pulled the wiretap accusation out of his ass, even Republicans in Congres --specifically the chairman of the House's Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes, a Republican-- had to admit there was no evidence of Trump's accusation of wiretapping:

Here's the video:

Interesting however, how Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer tried to justify Trump's lie by suggesting there were other methods of spying including using the microwave oven.
In the end, they made fools of themselves when Trump finally admitted, with other words, he had no evidence because he was lying.
Oh and by the way: According to The New York Times, Republicans in Congress threatened with subpoenas because of Trump's bullshit story about wiretapping.
Which means even Republicans are getting tired of Trump's bullshit stories.
