Trump campaign's knew Michael Flynn was being paid by Turkish interests

Remember Michael Flynn and how he was fired as National Security Adviser supposedly because he lied about his contact with Russia? Well, that was just the tip of the iceberg. According to The New York Times, the Trump campaign knew Flynn got paid half a million dollars to represent the interests of a firm with ties to the government of Turkey.

How is this bad? Well, aside from the hypocrisy in calling to "lock up" Hillary Clinton, Flynn was in the middle of a HUGE conflict of interests.

You see, the Turkish government wanted the American government to extradite Fethullah Gulen, a Turkish cleric who lives in Pennsylvania and who was blamed by Turkey's president Erdogan for helping instigate a coup against him.

Guess what Michael Flynn did? He published an opinion ed piece on election day saying the Turkish government --which has very big accusations of corruption-- of being misunderstood. He also called Gulen “a shady Islamic mullah” and “radical Islamist.”

And that, is a very nasty conflict of interests. Specially since the Trump campaign knew about the money Flynn received from the Turkish firm with ties to the Turkish government.

To make matters worse, Flynn did not disclose he was a foreign agent when he registered as a lobbyist. He registered as a foreign agent until last Tuesday, March 7, 2017, AFTER being fired for the Russian scandal.

What did the White House do about it? They claimed Donald Trump didn't know Flynn was working for Turkey.

Which is very hard to believe, since Trump had a business partner in Turkey who had ties to the Turkish government and TWO towers being built in Turkey will have Trump's name on them.

So I'm sorry, but that story about Trump not knowing about Flynn and Turkey is simply not believable.
