San Francisco files lawsuit against Donald Trump's executive order against sanctuary cities

The city of San Francisco filed a federal lawsuit against Donald Trump's executive order halting federal funds to sanctuary cities.

In a statement, the city of San Francisco accused Trump's executive order of being unconstitutional and it called for immigration reform.

Donald Trump complained on Twitter about the Democrats not confirming his cabinet:

When will the Democrats give us our Attorney General and rest of Cabinet! They should be ashamed of themselves! No wonder D.C. doesn't work!

But for most of 2016, after President Barack Obama nominated Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, the Republicans blocked Garland's nomination.

Trump fired Acting Attorney General because she refused to defend his unlawful Muslim ban

Donald Trump fired Acting Attorney General Sally Q. Yates because she ordered the Justice Department's officials not to defend Trump's Muslim ban, as she did not consider it to be lawful.

According to The New York Times, Yates made the following statement in a letter to Justice Department lawyers regarding the Muslim ban:

“At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities, nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful.”

Trump loses again: President Barack Obama debunks his Muslim ban's excuse

After Donald Trump pretended to justify his Muslim ban by claiming Barack Obama had had identified the 7 Muslin countries in his list as souces of terrorism, President Barack Obama responded by debunking Trump.

According to The Washington Post, in a statement, President Obama's spokesperson said:

“With regard to comparisons to President Obama’s foreign policy decisions, as we’ve heard before, the President fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion.”

HYPOCRISY: Trump and his daughter manufactured their products in China and Mexico

In a very pathetic attempt at attacking the thousands of people protesting against his Muslim Ban, Donald Trump tweeted the following:

Which not only it is a lie, but a big hypocrisy. Let me show you:

DAY 11: Trump lies about violating the rights of people in his Muslim ban and we debunk him

Donald Trump posted a series of tweets trying justify the violation of rights of people in his Muslim ban. He also lied by omitting the fact that many people were sent back to their countries without justification. He said:

Only 109 people out of 325,000 were detained and held for questioning. Big problems at airports were caused by Delta computer outage,.....

That is a lie. People weren't just "detained." Many, including people with green cards who were already living in the United States (including a doctor who takes care of patients in New York), were sent back to the countries where they came from even though there is a court order stopping the forced departures.

Then he said:

YEAH RIGHT: Rience Priebus says drug cartels and illiegal immigrants would pay for border wall

Donald Trump's Chief of Staff, Rience Priebus, said there's a "buffet of options" on how to pay for Donald Trump's border wall, including making drug cartels pay for it or charging a fine to undocumented immigrants.

During an interview with CBS, Priebus said:

"It can either be through a tax on goods coming across the border, it could be through tax reform and a formula on import and export taxes and credits, it could be on drug cartels and it could be on people that are coming here illegally and paying fines."

Except that's not possible.

Because of the fact that his Muslim ban is unconstitutional (as it violates the separation of church and state in the First Amendment of the Constitution by applying an executive order based on religion), Donald Trump released a written statement claiming his muslim ban isn't a Muslim ban (and, of course, he blames the media). According to The New York Times:

With thousands of protesters marching outside the White House and thronging the streets of Washington and other cities, Mr. Trump late Sunday defended his order. “To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting,” he said in a written statement. “This is not about religion — this is about terror and keeping our country safe.”

But guess what? Rudy Giuliani, who is an adviser to Trump, told Fox News Trump ASKED him specifically for a way to do a MUSLIM BAN "legally". Here's the video. Jump to minuto 3:18:

Rience Priebus lied: Trump stopped good people with his muslim ban, not bad people

In an interview for Meet the Press, White House Chief of Staff Rience Priebus blatantly lied about Trump's muslim ban, claiming Trump wanted to stop "people who want to do bad things to America."

In reality, the ban has stopped scientists, academics, atheteles, filmmakers, students, people with legal permanent residency, and even a christian family from Syria. Not a single terrorist was stopped from entering the United States.

Trump misleads about christians being killed in the Middle East

In other 100% misleading tweet, Donald Trump tried to justify his racist and unconstitutional preference for christian refugees over muslim refugees from the Middle East:

Christians in the Middle-East have been executed in large numbers. We cannot allow this horror to continue!

Which is misleading because there are a lot more muslims being killed in the Middle East than christians.

DAY 10: Even Kim Kardashian debunks Trump's lies about immigrants

Apparently as a result of the national outrage against Donald Trump's muslim ban, Trump tried to justify his racist executive order with this tweet:

Our country needs strong borders and extreme vetting, NOW. Look what is happening all over Europe and, indeed, the world - a horrible mess!

But a few hours before that, Kim Kardashian debunked Trump with actual, real statistics about violence in the United States:

Trump avoided banning muslim countries where he has business ventures

Donald Trump's executive order to ban refugees and immigrants from 7 muslim countries avoided including on the lis muslim countries in which he has business vetures.

According to Bloomberg, Trump's ban excluded Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, three countries in which Trump has done or pursued potential deals.

Judge halts part of Trump's muslim ban; It's a matter of time before it's found inconstitutional

According to The New York Times, a federal judge halted part of Donald Trump's executive order banning the entrance of refugees and even legal permanent US residents from muslim contries, prohibiting the federal government from sending them back to their countries of origin after being detained at different airports in the United States because of Trump's order.

The judge did not rule on the legality or the constituionality of Trump's order, but she did say that if the immigrants were not released, then the lawyers for the immigrants can come back to her court and argue their case.

Trump lied about banning countries where terrorists actually came from

In case you missed it, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah aired a piece on January 26 showing how Trump's immigration halt to reject potential terrorists from muslim countries is actually a lie.

You see, Trump tried to justify his muslim ban in an interview with ABC by mentioning the San Bernardino shooting and the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. But The Daily Show showed Trump will NOT be banning immigrants from the countries where the actual San Bernardino and 911 terrorists came:

DAY 9: NARCISSISM: Trump thinks being president is about him

During his usuall morning Twitter diarrhea, Donald Trump attacked the New York Times and the Washington Post for "being wrong about me."

In other words, Trump thinks that being president is about him. He's wrong. Being president is NOT about him; it's about the people of an entire country.

This is what he tweeted:

One week into office, Trump suggests he would violate the First Amendment

Donald Trump said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network that Christian refugees will have priority over refugees from other religions.

According to The Hill, when Trump was asked if he saw helping persecuted Christians abroad as a “priority,” Trump "promptly replied, 'yes.'"

But that would be a violation of the separation of church and state established by the First Amendment of the Constitution, as he would be acting to benefit a specific religion.

Trump loses on taxing Mexico: Sean Spicer backpedals on 20% tax on imports

Donald Trump loses his fight against Mexico once again. After Mexico's president cancelled his meeting with Donald Trump because of Trump's border wall, Trump proposed a 20% tax on imports from Mexico to pay for the border wall. But outrage in the United States against the tax --which would have to be paid by American consumers-- forced Trump's Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, to backpedal about it.

According to The New York Times, after Spicer justified the tax, and the idea caused an uproar, he backpedaled on it:

THIN SKIN: Trump called National Park chief to complain about inaugural crowd tweet

Donald Trump called the acting chief for the National Park Service to complain about a National Park employee retweeting an comparison image between Barack Obama's 2009 inagural crowd and Donald Trump's crowd, in which it was very clear Trump had far fewer people than Obama.

According to the New York Times, not only complained about the tweet, but he also asked if there are any photos showing the size of his inaugural crowd.

Donald Trump loses to Mexico: He agrees to shut up about the border wall

According to the New York Times, after the Mexican president cancelled his planned meeting with Donald Trump for January 31, both presidents had a one hour phone call in which they agreed not to talk publicly about who is going to pay for the border wall.

In other words, Trump lost to Mexico, as he will now have to shut up about the border wall.

Trump lies (again) about Mexico over trade and border issues, and we debunk him

Donald Trump insisted on attacking Mexico on trade and border issues:

He lied. Twice. So we're going to debunk Trumo. Let's start with the border issue:

DAY 8: Trump blames somebody else for "illegal votes" claim; We thoroughly debunk it

For the third time in less than a week Donald Trump insisted on claiming there were at least 3 million illegal votes in the 2016 election. But this time he blamed that lie on somebody else: on some guy named Gregg Phillips. Apparently as a way to "prove" his claim:

Look forward to seeing final results of VoteStand. Gregg Phillips and crew say at least 3,000,000 votes were illegal. We must do better!

Trump tweeted that apparently after watching an interview between Andrew Cuomo and Gregg Phillips on CNN, in which Phillips was debunked because he refused to show evidence of the claim of 3 million illegal votes. We'll get to that interview later on in this post. But first lets's see how this whole thing started:

The claim of 3 million illegal votes was debunked by Politifact on November 18, 2016, a week after Gregg Phillips made the claim without providing any evidence to back it up, which is apparently Trump's "source" for his lie. From the November 18 Politifact article:

MORE HYPOCRISY: Sean Spicer and Jared Kushner are also registered to vote in 2 states

Today Donald Trump said in a speech in Philadelphia that he would "investigate" his own lie about illegal voting. The day before he said there were people registered to vote in 2 states.

Well, turns out not just Trump's daughter Tiffany, Stephen Bannon and Steven Mnuchin were registered to vote in two states during the 2016 election. According to The Washington Post, Trump's press secretary Sean Spicer and Trump's son in-law and top adviser Jared Kusher were also registered to vote in 2 states.

Trump proposes 20% tax on American consumers to pay for his border wall

After the Mexican government made it clear they will not pay for Donald Trump's border wall, Trump proposed a 20% tax on Mexican imports to pay for the wall.

But the "Mexican imports" part of the tax is a lie. All taxes on imports are paid by American consumers, not by the country of origin. If you buy an import with a tarrif, YOU are the one who pays for the tarrif, not the country of origin of the product nor the company selling it.

Trump lies about Mexico's president cancelling meeting; Says they both agreed when it wasn't so

Donald Trump claimed in a speech in Phyladelphia that "the president of Mexico and myself have agreed to suspend" the meeting they were supposed to have on January 21.

In reality, it was the president of Mexico the one who suspended the meeting under pressure from the Mexican people after Trump signed the executive order to build the border wall and suggesting that if Mexico was not going to pay for the wall, then the meeting should be cancelled.

So the Mexican president cancelled. And he said so in a tweet:

DAY 7: Trump basically admits Mexico is not paying for the border wall

Donald Trump posted two tweets basically admitting Mexico will not pay for his border wall:

The U.S. has a 60 billion dollar trade deficit with Mexico. It has been a one-sided deal from the beginning of NAFTA with massive numbers...

of jobs and companies lost. If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting.

In the second tweet he threatens to cancel a meeting with Mexico's president that was originally set to take place on January 31 to talk about NAFTA. But in reality, it was Mexico's president the one who said the previous evening that, number one, Mexico would not pay for the wall, and number two, he would "evaluate" what steps to take after Trump's executive order for the wall.

UPDATE: A few hours after the Trump tweet, Mexico's president cancelled the visit.

HYPOCRISY: Trump's daughter, Steve Bannon and Steve Mnuchin were registered to vote in 2 states

Donald Trump said he would investigate "voter fraud" by people registered to vote in two states during the 2016 election. But according to the New York Daily News, one of Trump's daughters, Tiffany Trump, and two of his top aides, Steve Bannon and Steve Mnuchin, were registered to vote in two states during the 2016 presidential election.

Trump signs phony executive order to "build" border wall... without funding, and YOU pay

Donald Trump signed an exective order ordering the building of a border wall with Mexico. But the executive order turned out to be phony. Not because it isn't real, but because it really does nothing to actuallu build the border wall.

DAY 6: Trump says he will waste taxpayer dollars to investigate "voter fraud" that never happened

Even though Donald Trump's claim that millions of illegal immigrants voted for Hillary Clinton is false, and he never presented a shred of evidence supporting the claim, Trump announced on Twitter that he will be wasting taxpayer dollars on "investigating" his false claim:

Trump threatens Chicago with "sending in the feds" without having the authority to do it

On the evening of January 24, Donald Trump tweeted a threat to the city of Chicago, claiming he would "send in the feds" because of an increse in shootings:

If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!

But legally, Trump can't do that.

Sean Spicer says Trump "believes" there was voter fraud in 2016 but shows no evidence

When the press asked Sean Spicer for evidence backing Donald Trump's claim that millions of illegal immigrants voted for Hillary Clinton, Spicer says Trump "believes" that's the case based on "studies and information he has". However, Spicer did not present any evidence proving Trump's lie.

Trump lied about not depending on foreign oil by reactivating Keysone pipeline

Donald Trump signed an executive order reactivating the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines. In doing so, he turned his "America First" energy plan, posted at the White House's website into a lie. The energy policy reads:

"In addition to being good for our economy, boosting domestic energy production is in America’s national security interest."

Except the Keystone pipeline has nothing to do with domestic energy production.

DAY 5: Once again Trump misleads about inaugural attendance

Donald Trump tweeted a photo of a "panoramic" of the inagural attendance on January 20. The problem is, that is not a panorama and it does not show the entire mall, which was mostly empty. It is a sideways image that only shows thae front of the Capitol building. This is the tweet:

Once again Trump lies about illegal immigrants costing him the popular vote

At a meeting with congressional leaders, Donald Trump repeated the lie he tweeted after the elections, claiming that illegal immigrants voted for Hillary Clinton and that is the reason why he lost the popular vote. He also lied again about the attendance at his inaugural.

According to The New York Times, "the claim, which he has made before on Twitter, has been judged to be untrue by numerous fact-checkers. But the new president’s willingness to bring it up at Monday’s White House reception in the State Dining Room is an indication that he remains focused on his election even after assuming power."

Additionally, according to the NYT, Trump said:

Sean Spicer lies once again about inaugural viewership

During his first full official press briefing, the press asked Sean Spicer once again if he stands by his claim that Trump's inauguration was the most watched. Spicer replied with a misleading statement:

"Sure. It was the most watched inaugural. When you look at... look, uh... you look at, just in, one network alone got 16.9 million people online. Another couple of the networks, there were tens of millions of people that watched it online. Nevermind that the audiences here 31 million watched it on television. Combined it with the tens of millions of people who watched it online, on a device, it's unquestionable. I don't, I don't... and I don't see any numbers that dispute that, hen you add up attendance, viewership, total audience, out total audience in terms of tables, phones... uh... on television, I'd like to see any information that proves that otherwise."

DAY 4: Fake executive order to against the TPP

Trump signed an executive order withdrawing the United States from the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), after he attacked the TPP during the campaign.

There's only one problem with that: Congress had not approved the TPP and President Barack Obama had already stopped efforts to get the TPP approved. Obama suspended its push to get the trade deal approved by Congress on November 11, 2016, knowing that Congress would not vote on it.

Trump lies again about inauguration's TV ratings

Once again Trump posted a misleading tweet about his inauguration. This time about the TV ratings for it:

"Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!"

In reality, Obama's first inauguration, in 2009, had 7 million more TV viewers. Reagan's and Carter's inaugurations also had higher ratings.

Kellyanne Conway says the White House set up "alternative facts"

Faced once again with the evidence that Trump and Sean Spicer lied about the inauguration, Kellyanne Conway says to NBC the White House will set up "alternative facts."

In other words, the Trump administration now calls blatant lies "alternative facts."

DAY 3: Trump badmouths the Million Women March

The Million Women March on January 21, 2017, was far more numerous than Trump's inauguration just 24 hours before. Apparently Trump didn't like it, so he tweeted against the demonstrators:

"Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn't these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly."

DAY 2: Trump and Sean Spice lie repeatedly about inauguration attendance

Because of the overwhelming evidence of very few people attending Donald Trump's inauguration, both, Trump and his Press Secretary Sean Spicer, lied repeatedly about the attendance.

Fake Obamacare repeal and screwing over home owners

Trump made sure the media was present at the Oval Office the evening of January 20, 2017, to see him sign an executive order against President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

Legally, Trump can't stop the law. Only Congress can repeal it or change it. And although both houses of Congress passed a budget bill defunding the ACA a few days before, it had not been signed into law yet.

So in order to create the image that Trump was repealing Obamacare "from day one", he signed an executive order telling all federal agencies to provide "relief" from the ACA in the form of suspending all provisions of the ACA that collected fees, taxes and regulated the health care system.

Trump's Bane speech

Right after being sworn in as president, Trump delivered an inaugural address that included the following line:

"Today, we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another — but we are transferring power from Washington, DC, and giving it back to you, the people."

A lot of people immediately noticed the last part of the speech was plagiarized from a speech delivered by Batman's archvillian Bane from the 2012 movie The Dark Knight Rises. This wis what Bane said the movie:

"We take Gotham from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of opportunity, and we give it back to you, the people."

DAY 1: Few people went to Donald Trump's inauguration, then he lied about it

In order to try to convince people that his inauguration was flooded with people, the Trump administration used a photo of many people waving american flgs in front of the Capitol as the background image for the Twitter account for the President of the United States (@POTUS).

The thing is, the stock photo from Getty Images was taken at tha 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama (see: https://twitter.com/kylebuchanan/status/822492155809656833).
