Jared Kushner asked Russian ambassador for secure channel for communication with Russia: WP

According to the Washington Post, Jared Kushner asked Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak for a secure channel of communications directly with Russia straight from the Russian embassy so the communications would stay secret. Intelligence sources confirmed the version to the Washington Post.

From the WP article:

Jared Kushner and Russia’s ambassador to Washington discussed the possibility of setting up a secret and secure communications channel between Trump’s transition team and the Kremlin, using Russian diplomatic facilities in an apparent move to shield their pre-inauguration discussions from monitoring, according to U.S. officials briefed on intelligence reports.

Ambassador Sergey Kislyak reported to his superiors in Moscow that Kushner, son-in-law and confidant to then-President-elect Trump, made the proposal during a meeting on Dec. 1 or 2 at Trump Tower, according to intercepts of Russian communications that were reviewed by U.S. officials. Kislyak said Kushner suggested using Russian diplomatic facilities in the United States for the communications.

The article points out that Michael Flynn was present during the meeting between Kushner and Kislyak. It also reveals that the WP knew about the meeting since mid December, but the version was confirmed by intelligence sources just now.

Kushner recently became the focus of the FBI investigation into the meddling of Russia into the US elections.

And that's not all. The Washington Post also published that the Senate Intellegence Committee asked the Trump campaign for all documents related to communications between the campaign and Russia dating back to July of 2015.

Should be interesting to see what Trump does about his daughter Ivanka's husband. Because it looks like Jared Kushner could be the difference between resigning like Nixon, or admitting to collusion with Russia.
