DAY 231: Trump is governing for his clients, not for America

The New York Times published an article today showing how Donald Trump businesses (golf courses, hotels, etc) are doing a lot better in Republican states and a lot worse in Democratic states, with increases in revenue in states like North Carolina, and drops in states like California and New York.

Trump definitely knows this. And he also knows that the most idiotic and racist things Trump has done in office is not scaring away Republican customers; it's what's keeping them as clients.

Which in turn suggests that, therefore, Trump is governing for his clients, not for America. He's doing things that keep his club and hotel patrons, instead of doing things for the good of the country.

Something tells me Trump knows he will not get the revenue he used to get from Democratic states. And therefore he's trying to avoid losing money by patronizing Republicans in red states.

That is the reason why Trump should've sold his stakes in his clubs, hotels, etc. But he didn't, suggesting he knew he would use the presidency as a way to boost his business.

So if the country sinks, Trump won't care. As long as he gets more customers in Republican states, the country could go down the toilet. That is the reality of having Donald Trump in the White House.
