DAY 223: Trump backpedals on shutting down government for border wall

Two days after a rally in Arizona in which he threatened to shut down the government if Congress did not pay for his border wall, Donald Trump back off from his threat.

According to The Washington Post, the White House told Congress two days after the rally that money for the wall did not need to be included in the budget to be approved this month.

However, Trump appears to want the money for the wall in the budget that would fund the government in December.

Still, this is the second time Trump has backed down from his threat, which makes it very likely for him to back down again in December.
