The New York Times facts checks Trump's interview; He lied about Shinzo Abe's wife

After the New York Times published an interview with Donald Trump, they actually fact checked his answers. Turns out Trump lied several times.

One of the most notorious of his lies was saying Shinzo Abe's wife, Akie Abe, does not speak English "not even hello." Turns out not only Akie Abe does speak English, as it is part of her education at a catholic school in Japan, but she's also a former radio DJ, so there was no reason for Trump to say he couldn't talk to her because of language.

Why is this relevant? Because of the following:

Trump claimed the reason why he went over to talk with Vladimir during a dinner in Germany was because he was sitting next to Akie Abe and she didn't speak any English at all. We already saw that she does speak English. But even if she didn't, there was a translator available for them to communicate.

Well, guess what? Vladimir Putin does NOT speak English. He needs a translator in order to speak with Trump. But that didn't stop Trump from talking to Putin.

Sounds more like Trump pulled that excuse out of his ass in order to justify talking to Putin and then not telling anyone about it.
