The reason? Just 'cuz:
“Allowing Plaintiffs’ vexatious claims to proceed would threaten the constitutional separation of powers by imposing an undue burden on the President and the Executive Branch,” Trump lawyer Michael Carvin wrote.
In other words, Trump wants immunity from his illegal actions (in this case inciting his followers to hurt people) because it would be unfair to him.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is the stuff of dictators.
