Turns out the one who ended up looking like a fool because of his ignorance of the legislative process. You see, Trump's own repeal and replace of Obamacare didn't need 60 votes, but a simple 51 vote majority. And Trump couldn't even get that because his Trumpcare plan was a disaster.
That's not all. According to The New York Times:
[Mitch] McConnell’s former chief of staff, Josh Holmes, cited Mr. Trump’s tweets on Saturday as he sardonically suggested a “search for the idiot who keeps putting the President on irrelevant and counterproductive crusades.”
Well, that idiot is Trump himself.
