The poll gives Trump a 36% approval rating and a 58% disapproval at the six-month mark of his administration. Not even Gerald Ford, after Richard Nixon's resignation in 1974, had such low approval. Ford's approval was a 39% after being in office for six months.
The poll found that 48% of Americans see American world leadership weakened with Trump in office, while only 27% see it stronger.
It should be noted that about 28% of American voters never disapprove a Republican president, so the 27% "stronger" number corresponds statistically with the 28% Republican baseline.
Additionally, most Americans do not trust Donald Trump for negotiating with other world leaders, specially with Vladimir Putin. And six out of 10 believe Russia did interfere in the US election.
Trump's response to the poll on Twitter was a lie and aa contradiction, claiming the numbers were "nearly 40%" and "not bad", when the numbers are actually well below 40%. The contradiction came after, when he claimed the ABC/Washington Post poll was the most inaccurate in the 2016 elections:
The ABC/Washington Post Poll, even though almost 40% is not bad at this time, was just about the most inaccurate poll around election time!

So which one is it? "not bad" or "most inaccurate"?
It's neither. But Trump is a liar.
