According to Politico, Donald Trump tried to justify Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer by claiming that most people would've done it.
This is what Trump said during a press conference in France:
“I think from a practical standpoint, most people would have taken that meeting. I think it’s a meeting that most people in politics probably would have taken.”
The problem is receiving information against a political opponent from a foreign entity is a crime in the United States. And Trump knows it. So his "defense" for Donal Trump Jr. doing is "most people would've committed a federal crime too."
Such cynicism...
