DAY 153: TRUMP LOSES: Republicans keep losing votes five months into Trump's presidency

While the Democrats have lost most of the special elections this year, the results for those elections show the Republicans are losing a lot of votes five months into Donald Trump's presidency.

Here are the changes in votes in the special elections according to Fivethirtyeight.com:

This means there are more Democrats voting in the special elections and fewer Republicans are. The difference is still not enough to win the race for the Democrats, but the thing is these are deep red states. This means the Democrat vote will probably continue to increase in the intermediate and the presidential elections. If it does, the Democrats will take over Congress and Trump will be voted out of office, as one of the reasons why Trump was able to win the electoral college was because of people who didn't vote in 2016.

So yes, Trump can brag about the Republican wins in the special elections, but if this trend continues, the Republicans will lose in 2018 and 2020.
