Sessions was supposed to talk to other Congressional committees the same day he will testify (Tuesday, June 13) about the budget for the justfice department. But instead, he will talk about the meddling of Russia in the 2016 election.
Which suggests Donald Trump is sending Sessions to respond to James Comey after his damning testimony showing Trump tried to stop the Russia investigation.
This is what Sessions wrote to Congress:
"In light of reports regarding Mr. Comey’s recent testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, it is important that I have an opportunity to address these matters in the appropriate forum."
TRANSLATION: "Trump is furious about Comey and he wants me to smear him so he doesn't have to."
Which begs the question: Didn't Trump he was totally vindicated?
Oh well...
