Russian hackers sought to collude with Michael Flynn according to intelligence sources

The Wall Street Journal published today an article about a Republican operative called Peter Smith who tried to get supposedly stolen emails from Hillary Clinton's server by asking hackers if they had them.

But the part of the article that really catches the eye, halfway through the text, is this:

The operation Mr. Smith described is consistent with information that has been examined by U.S. investigators probing Russian interference in the elections.

Those investigators have examined reports from intelligence agencies that describe Russian hackers discussing how to obtain emails from Mrs. Clinton’s server and then transmit them to Mr. Flynn via an intermediary, according to U.S. officials with knowledge of the intelligence.

The "Mr. Flynn" in the article us Michael Flynn, the former National Security Adviser for Donald Trump who is being investigated for possible collusion with Russia.

Which means Russian hackers -obviously working for Vladimir Putin- may have colluded with Trump's campaign directly.

So once again Trump's claim that there was no collusion with Russia is under doubt.
