DAY 146: Special Counsel Mueller is investigating Trump for obstruction of justice

According to The Washington Post, Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating Donald Trump for possible obstruction of justice. AND the investigation started days after Trump fired James Comey.

From the WP article:

The special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russia’s role in the 2016 election is interviewing senior intelligence officials as part of a widening probe that now includes an examination of whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice, officials said.

The move by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III to investigate Trump’s conduct marks a major turning point in the nearly year-old FBI investigation, which until recently focused on Russian meddling during the presidential campaign and on whether there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. Investigators have also been looking for any evidence of possible financial crimes among Trump associates, officials said.

Trump has been claiming that he is not personally under investigation over cullusion with Russia. Well, now he is under investigation for obstruction of justice over the investigation on Russia.

Oh, and when asked for comment, the White House told the media to ask Trump's personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, who deflected the questions with this bullshit answer through his spokesperson Mark Corallo:

“The FBI leak of information regarding the president is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal.”

Why not answer the question directly? If Trump is innocent, why not just say it?

Perhaps because there is enough evidence to find Trump guilty of obstruction of justice?
