DAY 269: Trump uses Obama as scapegoat for his own failures

Donald Trump tried to justify the fact that he has not called the families of dead American soldiers by saying Barack Obama didn't call John Kelly about his son dying in Afghanistan in 2010.

The issue came up yesterday, when Trump said Obama didn't always call the families of fallen troops. But when Trump was confronted with the fact that Obama did call the familes of fallen Troops, Trump said this:

"President Obama I think probably did sometimes, and maybe sometimes he didn't. I don't know," he added. "That's what I was told. All I can do is ask my generals. Other presidents did not call. They'd write letters and some presidents didn't do anything, but I like the combination of — I like, when I can, the combination of a call and also a letter."

In other words, Trump pulled the accusation against Obama out of his ass.

And by the way. Trump also said this:

Trump also said he has written letters to their families, which he will send in the coming days.

In the coming days? Is it really that hard to put a stamp on an envelope?

Wow.
