Just out report: "United Kingdom crime rises 13% annually amid spread of Radical Islamic terror." Not good, we must keep America safe!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 20, 2017
But that's a lie. There is no crime increase in the United Kingdom. And in fact, there's an actual DROP in terrorism in the UK.
How do we know that? Because Brittish newspaper The Guardian debunked Trump:
The report barely mentions terrorism other than to refer on one occasion to the impact recent terrorist attacks in Britain had on the headline murder rate. Thirty-five people were killed in the incidents in London and Manchester.
The crime report Trump is mentioning, by the way, does NOT correspond to the UK, but to England and Wales, two of the four regions of the UK.
And no, the report had NOTHING to do with Islamic terrorism. Trump lied and completely fabricated that claim.
