White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says the day after the deadliest mass shooting in the nation’s history is not the time to renew a debate over gun control.
Sanders was asked Monday during the press briefing that there is a “time and place” for a debate but that is “not the place we’re in at this moment.”
So let me get this straight. Some guy in Nevada buys a lot of high-power rifles, goes to a concert, kills tens of people and injures hundreds. Then the police finds a veritable arsenal in his hotel room. And it's not the time to talk about gun control?
Even worse; the previous mass shooting in Orlando left 50 people dead. Mass shooting are getting bigger and deadlier. And every time there's one, Republicans say it's not the time to talk about gun control.
Trump, by the way, has been a promoter of the NRA and and the gun lobby. But apparently his ties to the gun lobby are more important than protecting American lives.
This is truly disgusting.
