Descendant of Robert E. Lee says Trump should not defend confederate statues

Karen Finney, a descendant of Robert E. Lee, who is half African-American, said Donald Trump has no idea what he's talking about when he defends confederate statues. As a result, she's asking Trump to stop defending them.

According to The Hill, Finney pointed out that the statues have not been where they are for 150 years, as Trump claims, but they were built in the early 20th century during the Jim Crow era as a way to intimidate Black people.

Finney added that “this is the system of the Confederacy that was defending, so when he [Trump] throws those kinds of terms around he doesn’t really understand the history.”

So that makes three descendants of confederate generals, the great great grandchildren of Stonewall Jackson and a descendant of Robert E. Lee who are talking against confederate statues.

Which means only a racist would not get the point and keep on defending confederate statues.
