DAY 211: Trump has 36% or less approval in the rust belt, poll shows

According to a new poll by NBC/Marist, Donald Trump has 36% or less approval numbers in three key states of the Rust Belt.

These are the numbers from the poll:

Michigan: 36% approve, 55% disapprove
Pennsylvania: 35% approve, 54% disapprove
Wisconsin: 34% approve, 56% disapprove

Trump defends nazis again; Calls anti-nazi protestors "anti-police agitators"

Donald Trump just tweeted the following in regards to the massive protest in Boston against nazis and racism:

Looks like many anti-police agitators in Boston. Police are looking tough and smart! Thank you.

The claim is false. The protestors are against nazis, racism and hate. The protest has nothing to do with the police.

GOP is concerned about Trump, AP says, but GOP sure isn't acting like it

Associated Press publishes today that many influential Republicans are voicing concerns about Donald Trump's remarks defending nazis after the Charlottesville violence.

Here's a quote from the AP article:

Behind the high-profile denunciations voiced this week by GOP senators once considered Trump allies, scores of other, influential Republicans began to express grave concerns about the state of the Trump presidency. In two dozen interviews with Associated Press reporters across nine states, Republican politicians, party officials, advisers and donors expressed worries about whether Trump has the self-discipline and capability to govern successfully.

Problem is, if the Republicans are really that concerned, they sure aren't acting like it.

Red Cross, Salvation Army and 3 more charities cancel events at Mar-a-Lago

Five more charities, including the International Red Cross and the Salvation Army, are cancelling their plans to have fundraising events at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in the wake of Trump's comments on Charlottesville.

According to Politico, the charities cancelling their events are:

DAY 210: Trump won't attend Kennedy Center Honors, suggesting he knows he's toxic

Donald Trump will not attend the Kennedy Center Honors this year because, he said, that way the honorees won't have any "political distractions."

In other words, Trump knows he has become toxic to anyone near him.

Well, anyone but nazis.

The thing is, some of people who would be honored had already cancelled their attendance to the Kennedy Center Honors because of Trump.

DAY 209: Steve Bannon is out of the White House, but the racism stays

Donald Trump's chief strategist Steve Bannon was fired from his post today. According to The New York Times, the White House announced that “White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day.”

Fun fact: the NYT publishes that Trump claims he made the decision to fire Bannon, but Bannon claims he submitted his resignation on August 7 and his exit was delayed because of the Charlottesville white supremacist violence.
