Trump just invited most Americans to vote against him by saying he will veto single-payer healthcare

According to a recent Gallup poll, more than half of Americans believe the government should be responsible for providing health care.

Which means Donald Trump just invited most Americans to vote against him by threatening to veto Bernie Sanders's single-payer health care proposal:

Today the New York Times published an article about the fact that a group of former Trump aides will try to register to vote and find potential voters in rural areas of the United States.

This wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't for the following two paragraphs:

Hours after Republicans in the House of Representatives passed Trumpcare, in an attempt at repealing and replacing Obamacare, Donald Trump met with the Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, and literally said that Australia has better healthcare than the US.

This is what Trump said according to CNN:

"It's going to be fantastic health care," Trump said, referring to his new health care plan. "I shouldn't say this to our great gentleman and my friend from Australia because you have better health care than we do.
